Configuring "Estimated Play" Analytics for Legacy Systems

For campaigns that are running on Legacy or outdated player systems that do not provide real-time playback (POP) reporting, you have the option to enable estimated playback reporting for your client account campaigns


Estimated playback reporting will use an estimated number of daily plays and then, using the signals from the player when creatives are requested, to determine, with a best guess, what creatives ran, where and at what time


NOTE: This reporting is an estimate of playbacks. For final playback reporting, please pull individual reports from your player software reporting tools


At this time, Estimated Reporting will work with campaigns scheduled using the following Legacy players


  • Watchfire (Ignite and Ignite OP)

  • Blip Player


How to Enable Estimated Playback Reporting

  1. Visit the account that contains the campaign you wish to estimate playback reports on

  2. Click on the campaign

  3. Click the "3-dots" (..._) icon in the upper right hand corner of the campaign

  4. Click on "Settings"

  5. Find and enable the setting labeled "Estimate Play Stats from Daily Average Plays"

  6. Find and set the estimated daily plays under the setting "Estimated Total Plays Per Day"



Once this is complete, give the system 10 or 15 minutes to catch up and you should start seeing play reporting flowing in for this campaign

Once this is complete, you will see "Estimated" appearing next to your live play stats on the home page
