Lucit and Partner Billboard Networks Honor More Than 10,000 Fallen U.S. Service Members

Lucit, in partnership with The Wall of Honor Digital Signage Network, Gusaas Signs, Mashburn Outdoor, Robinson Outdoor, and View Outdoor, honored more than 10,000 U.S. Service Men and Women who lost their lives in conflicts from the Korean War through today.

The remembrance campaign ran on digital screens throughout North Dakota, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

Lucit built the campaign using National Archives data and created a Memorial Day data source inside the Lucit platform. The system matches service members to screens based on hometown location and a configurable radius around each digital sign, allowing media owners to automatically generate localized remembrance creatives.

Lucit provided this data and templates free of cost to Media Owners

“Memorial Day is not just a big sales event. It is a time to remember real people from our own communities,” said Gina Gordon, CEO of Lucit. “We were grateful to work with The Wall of Honor Digital Signage Network and the participating billboard operators to help bring these names to local screens in a respectful way.”

“From the technical side, this is the kind of problem Lucit was built to handle,” said Eric Kubischta, CTO of Lucit. “We took a large national data set, normalized it, geo-tagged the records by hometown, then used the location of each digital sign to determine which service members should be shown near that screen. Lucit then generated the creative records and connected the data to templates automatically, so operators did not have to manually build thousands of individual ads.”

The data set includes records from the Korean War, Vietnam War, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Operation Inherent Resolve, Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, and other covered conflicts.
